Date: 6th Mar 2022 Author: Chris Heywood

In Summer 2023, more than 40,000 Scouts from all over the world will gather in Korea for the 25 World Scout Jamboree. The World Scout Jamboree (WSJ) is a World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM) event, it happens every four years, each time hosted by a different country. We’re so proud that Morgan, who is a scout, has been chosen to attend this once in a lifetime opportunity. there can only be a certain number of scout from each district attending and Morgan had to apply and go through a panel to be selected as one of the Scouts.

“when I got selected for the 25th world scout jamboree in South Korea, it felt so unreal and amazing. As I always wanted to go on a scout jamboree as a child, it’s so incredible to be chosen to go. I am so grateful for being selected and can’t wait to make loads of new memories and friends.”

Now  the hard work of fundraising begins. Morgan has to raise £4000 between now and 2023 and she is starting by organising a Family quiz night on Friday 1st April @7pm, Morgan also has a lot of other plans up her sleeve to raise funds so keep checking the news section for upcoming events.
